Gardener

I love Autumn because the leaves start to fall, the golden burst of colour comes through and it feels peaceful.

I started a tumblr blog for anything that inspires me really you can look at it by clicking  here

Today is… the end of the First Week at School

It’s now the end of the first week back at school and I must say it was exhausting! My bag was practically bursting at the seams. But the one thing I do love though is taking photography for GCSE! We’re doing portraits and I cant wait to use the ones of Ted shown here! The funny picture of the prairie dog I took this week is keeping me going! I’ll be putting up the second lot of pictures from the wildlife park as well this weekend!

A Walk on the Wild Side {part 1}

On the last day of the summer holidays my mum and I went to the wildlife park. I love going there because I love seeing all the animals and it’s so relaxing to walk around! I brought my camera with me because I knew I’d be taking lots of photos and boy did I! Over 200 shots and I had to pick only a few so I narrowed them down into a two part post – the second of which will be going up later this week!

Out at Langness

It was such a gorgeous day today! A walk out to Langness was hard to resist especially with my camera strapped across my shoulder. The clouds were so dramatic and the sun was warm with a cooling breeze ever so slightly whispering across your skin, a good turn around from the lashings of rain we’ve been having! Langness is so beautiful and going out there makes my day!

Floral texture (Maltese Edition)

About a week ago I came back from spending two weeks in Malta and I absolutely loved it! The scenery is just beautiful, the wildlife is spectacular and sky is an endless blue where clouds are forbidden. I loved taking photos there {especially the bees as I got some really good macro shots of them} and sun lets me get creative with the flowers!

Book Collector

Basically I got inspired! Inspired by books and my love of reading, I got creative with the flora around me in my garden and used the setting sun to my advantage! The spider was quite difficult to shoot because it was so awkwardly positioned in the leaves {I mean, my back was killing like crazy!} but it was worth it! I think this is one of my favourite collection of photos, it definitely makes me want to take more!

3 Things

{Henna Tattoo I had drawn in Malta}

{Bertie my new puppy}

{Japanese Anemone}

The other day my friend came over for the evening as we hadn’t seen each other for a while and lets just say we got into a situation in the park. Basically I hadn’t realised I’d grown so much since the last time I went in the baby swing and you can kind of guess how it went from there! What made it even more embarrassing was the fact that there were more than several teenagers lurking around the place, which meant I had to text my mum to help me get out. Lets just say I won’t be going on any more children’s stuff, as this wasn’t the first time I had gotten myself stuck in one of their play things!

Anyway these are three of the things that are inspiring me at the moment, especially Bertie as he’s being very mischievous!

stone age

We have these quirky miniature stone statues outside our house that I love taking pictures of. The flowers and plants around it make a great focal spot for photos! I love making collages of photos and the pictures here work really well together, I’m always pleased when that happens and I love seeing the garden in full bloom!

Floral texture

{flowers caught on camera today}

I was thinking the other day how different flowers can be from each other. Some are really delicate with paper thin leaves and others are big, bold and have bright colours, so I decided to take a few pictures in my garden today and I came across different textures that worked with each other and that’s how I came to writing this post! Flowers are by far the my favourite object to photograph because of so many different species, colour and variety. And if you take the photograph well then it can be magical!
